New Published Work: Roger Wade / Boxpark

Recently I’ve been working on a new multimedia magazine designed for the web, iPhone and iPad. It’s called The Maior, and is centred on those who dare to be different, who are the up and coming greats, and those who can inspire the rest of us to want more out of life than that which is all too readily prescribed by societal norms.

As well as writing many of the features for the magazine (I knew my journalism background would come in handy one day) I’ve been mainly photographing the people who appear in it, and the next few blog posts are going to be, on the whole, the results of those photoshoots.

To kick things off, we’ve got Roger Wade. Wade is the founder of UK urban fashion label Boxfresh, and also is known for introducing names such as Carhartt and G-Shock to the British highstreet. More recently, he’s launched Boxpark, a pop-up mall built out of shipping containers situated right in the middle of hip-and-happening Shoreditch. Seeing as he’s all about boxes, we thought we’d photograph him in Boxpark, standing in a box. We never thought he’d agree to it.
